Closer to Glory's ministry to senior adults began back in March 2002 with a group of five people. Created to provide both encouragement and fellowship to the 60+ crowd at church, the group has grown to over 20 people, who meet on the 2nd Friday of every month.

Since their first meeting, they have also taken several day trips to places such as Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA, Duke Gardens in Hillsborough, NJ, Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton, NJ, and Byer's Doll Factory and Peddler's Village in Bucks County, PA. They've also planned outdoor picnics, as well as special celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Closer to Glory also meets weekly as a small group on Mondays at Stonecrest from 1:00-3:00pm in the conference room.
