Foundations is a unique training program created in collaboration with Stonecrest Community Church and Newbridge Church (57 Kahdena Road, Morristown, NJ 07960) specifically designed to equip you to make a difference for Christ in North-Central New Jersey and beyond.
Through 5 Saturday sessions featuring all new content, format, and timing, you'll focus on learning to hear God's voice, understanding His Word, and discovering our place in His story of restoring all things. God's heart is to restore what sin has destroyed and damaged—through this journey together we will grow deeper in our faith, relationships, and confidence in our shared mission.
You'll develop Biblical Literacy (gaining confidence to understand and apply Scripture), experience Spiritual Formation (becoming more like Jesus in your relationships with God, yourself, and others), and embrace Missional Living (sharing the Gospel through both your words and actions in your community). Through engaging teaching, hands-on workshops, personal reflection, and meaningful group discussion, we journey together as a community of learners being transformed by Christ (Ephesians 2:10).

Session 1: Restored Relationship with Creation: October 11 – Newbridge Church
Return to the beginning when God spoke creation into existence and declared everything "good"—and discover how He continues to speak today. Through deep exploration of Scripture's grand narrative, you'll connect creation's story to your story while learning the foundational principles of hearing God's voice through spiritual listening. This session establishes that as we draw closer to Jesus, He restores every area of life, grounding you in the Father's heart and His ongoing communication with His children.
Session 2: Restored Relationship with God: November 15 – Stonecrest Community Church
Step into the intimacy Adam and Eve knew as they walked and talked with God in the cool of the day. You'll discover your unique spiritual pathways and learn to recognize God's voice through various means, responding with increasing confidence. Through practical listening prayer exercises and Gospel presentation training, you'll be equipped to live on mission in ways that flow from your ability to hear what the Father is saying, empowering you to naturally share the hope of restored relationship with others.
Session 3: Restored Relationship with Self :January 10 – Newbridge Church
Embrace your true identity as one created in God's image, learning to hear His voice speak truth over the lies that keep you hiding behind masks. Through powerful listening prayer exercises and testimony crafting, you'll experience deeper transformation as God reveals who He created you to be and calls out your true identity. This growth in understanding Scripture helps you grasp your place in God's story while building confidence to share how God's voice has shaped your own story of restoration.
Session 4: Restored Relationship with Others: February 7 – Stonecrest Community Church
Rediscover God's design for authentic community where we can be "naked and not ashamed" in vulnerable relationship. You'll develop practical skills for navigating conflict, healing from past wounds, and engaging in honest conversations that build lasting connections. This session focuses on transformation that leads to wholeness in both your physical and spiritual family relationships, equipping you to make disciples through the quality of your community life.
Session 5: Restored Relationship with the World: March 14 – Newbridge Church
Become a minister of reconciliation, blessed to be a blessing to all nations as you learn to hear God's heart for your community and beyond. Through intercession that flows from listening to God's concerns, community engagement guided by His voice, and spiritual mapping that reveals His purposes, you'll learn to proclaim the Gospel through both words and actions. Your enhanced understanding of Scripture will help you discern God's voice regarding systems of injustice while your transformation empowers you to make disciples who transform communities through the power of hearing and obeying God.
