Day 7: God Is In Control

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:28-30

Rejoice in the Lord always I will say it again rejoice.
Philippians 4:4

We have no control over what happens to us but we can control how we respond. Many of us face hardships beyond our control. Following Christ does not always mean life will be easy. There will be hardships and there will be pain. If you are overwhelmed and feel like giving up, trust in GOD. In time HE will turn our mourning into dance and our sorrow into joy (Psalm 30:11-12 ). We may not have strength to rejoice on our own but it is GOD who enables us to do so (Philippians 4:13). He will meet us in our place of pain and joy! He also intercedes on our behalf (Romans 8:26-27 ).

Prayer and Action Steps:
  1. Listen to, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow".
  2. Have you experienced His watchful love over you, your family, and loved ones in the last 24 hours? If so, write down your answers. Thank Him for His love and the ways you've seen Him "show up".
  3. If you struggle to know His love, simply ask Him to come and meet you today. He  may come in a gentle whisper, or through a friend, and or as you're working from home. Who knows! May God surprise you with encounters in His Presence today.
  4. Pray and ask the Lord to reveal His love and comfort to anyone who comes to mind. Send that person a text and remind them that they are loved by you and by Father God.
  5.  Today, remember His promises and His unfailing love is FOR you! Be a conduit of His love and affection for others as well.

I just wanted to thank EVERYONE for these daily devotionals (and songs). They are short, easy to read and exactly what I need for each day.
