Standing with Asian Americans and Against Violence

Over the past year, we have been grieved by the verbal and physical attacks against the Asian and Pacific Islander community. There is no place for hate and violence. Not only are we called to turn against evil but God is calling His people to pray. (2 Chronicles 7:14) Pray healing for the victims of violence and their families, peace for those who suffer in fear, protection from abuse, courage and wisdom for people to know what to do when they encounter words, actions and ideas that make others feel "less than" and unsafe, and freedom for those bound by hate. And if we are witnesses to or are aware of violence or harassment, let's not be bystanders.  Let us do what the Lord requires of us, seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. (Micah 6:8)

This week we also witnessed the horror of evil in Boulder CO and our hearts are heavy as we mourn for a community and neighborhood shattered in tragedy.

Please join us in praying through Psalm 140 for the Asian community and for those in Boulder.
