Day 9
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
What a mighty God we serve that even the winds and the waves obey Him at His command!
What a mighty God we serve that even the winds and the waves obey Him at His command!
- Welcome God to come in this time and begin by expressing gratitude, praise, and worship!
- Take time in prayer to thank Him for the storms in your life that He’s already calmed down for you. If you’re struggling to know what those are, simply ask Him to bring to mind all the storms that He's dealt with for you. Write these down in a journal and continue to praise Him in prayerful gratitude.
- Take a moment to ask the Lord about the current battles or storms He wants to calm on your behalf. You may already have an answer if you’ve been following this devotional series. With that same posture of prayer and thanksgiving, ask the Lord to calm these storms - His will and His way.
- Take a moment to ask the Lord about the pending storms that may be coming your way: relapse of COVID, a new school year, jobs, etc. Bring these also to the Lord in prayer and commit the battle to Him.
- Listen and worship along to the song, “See A Victory/This Is How I Fight My Battles” by Elevation Worship.
- Remember Beloved, God never sleeps on you! It says in Psalms 121:3, “He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber.” Jesus is your protector and He is not intimidated by your storms!
