Day 17
Praying for Our Local Region
Prayer Points and Scripture:
5. “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10
6. End this time by giving thanks to God, giving the burden of your region back to Jesus, and asking Him to prompt you to pray for anyone who comes to mind today.
- “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
- Pray a prayer of humility and surrender before you begin this time of intercession for Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Warren, and Union counties. Invite the Lord to lead and direct.
- Also pray that God would heal and restore this region both physically and spiritually. Ask Him to bring healing and solutions in regards to COVID-19 and that NJ would see a continual decrease in COVID related numbers, especially during flu season.
- “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Isaiah 60:2-3
- Pray that God would release His Presence and light over our region. Ask the Lord to expose injustice and for His justice to rule and reign.
- Ask the Lord to empower His Bride to be the “light of the world.”
- Ask for boldness and strength to follow Jesus for the body of the Church in this region today.
- “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray in this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-5
- Pray for those in local government, school, and any kind of influential leadership today.
- Ask for wisdom, heavenly strategies/solutions for problems, protection, boldness to do the right thing, and strength. Pray for their families, incomes, and jobs.
- Pray for those who do not know Him that they would come to salvation.
- “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4
Pray that we the people of NJ would put the needs of others more highly than ourselves on the highway, in places of employment, on line in the grocery stores or Starbucks, etc. That we would give and not ignore those in need as the Holy Spirit prompts us to do so. That we would be carriers of His Presence and bring unity and not division. That God would give us the words to share the Good News when He prompts us.
5. “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10
- Pray that God’s will would be done in Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Warren, and Union Counties. Pray for revival to hit this land, that it would come to SCC, and to let it begin in you!
6. End this time by giving thanks to God, giving the burden of your region back to Jesus, and asking Him to prompt you to pray for anyone who comes to mind today.
