Day 20

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.” Psalm 24:1-2

  1. Welcome the Lord into this time of personal and private worship. In prayer, thank Him for the ways He’s provided, protected, and met you during the 21 Days of Prayer.
  2. Throughout these 21 Days of Prayer, the weekends have been focused on setting apart  “Sabbath” rest. Sabbath is a day set apart for the practice and spiritual discipline of rest through leisure and recharging with God, self, and others. Think through your responsibilities and apply these verses in prayer towards the things under your care. Remember that God is the Lord of the Sabbath and everything belongs to Him. You can regularly and daily commit your labors, burdens, and concerns to Him because “He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Taking the time to rest in Him also gives Him room to speak into your life and situations.
  3. Resting is challenging for many of us. Lean into these verses through prayer and during your day. Take it another step further and ask the Lord why it’s hard to step into His rest and make practical decisions to make room for Sabbath.
